Exam pattern for TSICET 2017:

TSICET is not an online test; instead, it is a pen paper mode MCQs offline test which will conduct at the selected exam centres in the state of Telangana.

TS ICET Exam pattern

Telangana ICET Exam Consists of 200 Objective type Multiple Choice Questions.

The Total Duration of Exam is 2 1/2 hours, i.e.,150 minutes.

In this Exam Questions are asked from various subjects in Three Sections.

The Total Marks of this TS ICET Exam are 200.

The total duration of the TSICET is 2 Hours and 30 Minutes/150 Minutes.There are 200 MCQ questions in TSICET and each question will carry 1 mark each.No negative mark deduction for the questions answered wrongly.TS ICET 2017 is divided into three sections namely Communication Ability, Mathematical Ability and Analytical Ability.

**Syllabus for TSICET 2017:**

The syllabus for the TSICET exam is as mentioned below:

Section A:

Analytical Ability: 75 Q (75 Marks)

Data Sufficiency: 20 Q (20 Marks)

Problem Solving 55 Q (55 Marks)

1.Sequences and Series 25 Q (25 Marks): Analogies of numbers and alphabet, completion of blank spaces following the pattern in a: b: c: d relationship; odd thing out: missing number in a sequence or a series.

2. Data Analysis 10 Q (10 Marks): The data given in a Table, Graph, bar diagram, Pie Chart, Venn diagram or a Passage is to be analysed and the questions pertaining to the data are to be answered.

3. Coding and Decoding Problems 10 Q (10 Marks): In this section, a code pattern of English Alphabet is given. A given word or a group of letters are to be coded or decoded based on the given code or codes.

4. Date, Time and Arrangement Problems 10 Q (10 Marks): Calendar problems, clock problems, blood relationships, arrivals, departures and schedules, seating arrangements, symbol and notation interpretation.

Section B:

Mathematical Ability 75 Q (75 Marks)

Arithmetical Ability: 35 Q (35 Marks)

Laws of indices, ratio and proportion; surds; numbers and divisibility,Rational numbers, Ordering.; Percentages; Profit and loss; Partnership, Pipes and cisterns, time, distance and work problems, areas and volumes, mensuration, modular arithmetic.

Algebraic and Geometrical Ability: 30 Q (30 Marks)

Statements, Truth tables, implication converse and inverse, Tautologies Sets, Relations and functions, applications - Equation of a line in different forms.

Trigonometry - Trigonometric ratios, Trigonometric ratios of standard angles, (0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, 180°): Trigonometric identities: sample problems on heights and distances, Polynomials; Remainder theorem and consequences; Linear equations and expressions; Progressions, Binomial Theorem, Matrices, Notion of a limit and derivative; Plane geometry - lines, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Circles, Coordinate geometry distance between points.

Statistical Ability: 10 Q (10 Marks)

Frequency distributions, Mean, Median, Mode, Standard Deviations, Correlation, simple problems on Pobability.

Section C: Communication Ability: 50 Q (50 Marks)

Candidates are assessed on the ability to:

Identify vocabulary used in the day-to-day communication.

Understand the functional use of grammar in day-to-day communication as well as in the business contexts.

Identify the basic terminology and concepts in computer and business contexts (letters, reports, memoranda, agenda, minutes etc.).

Understand written text and drawing inferences.
